Communion 1st Sunday/month.

Communion at FBC is celebrated in our worship services on the first Sunday of each month. Participation in communion is open to anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

“This is my body, broken for you…this cup is the new covenant in my blood, do this in remembrance of me.”
(I Corinthians 11:24-25)

The drink that we use is grape juice, with no alcohol in it. When we eat the bread, we are reminded of Jesus’ body, which was sacrificed on the cross. When we drink the juice, we are reminded that His blood was shed on the cross so our sins could be forgiven.

At the end of each communion service, we close by forming a large circle in the sanctuary, joining hands and singing the first verse of “Blest be the tie that binds”.
